Bovitrak is accessed through the Log In link on every page of www.beefconcepts.com. The only software required is a standard web browser. Subscribers then use a personal username and password to view or work with their Bovitrak data. (Details on software and hardware requirements can be found at Technology.) You can log onto your data 24/7 from any Internet-accessible location. No training or user manuals are required – Bovitrak is extremely easy to use.

Security
Privacy of your information is our number one priority. Only you can view or work with your account data. The Bovitrak server is secured with the industry standard for Internet security, SSL (Secure Socket Layer). Beef Concepts utilizes Verisign certificates for secure exchange of confidential data. All the information that you send us (including credit card numbers, names, addresses and telephone numbers) is encrypted by this security technology so it cannot be read by anyone as it travels over the Internet.

Identify
As a registered subscriber, you can begin recording animal information. For example, you might choose to record the birth of a calf, along with its tag number. Recording weight, sex, breed and parentage is recommended. This accumulation of information is significant to the process of tracking animals throughout the production process.

Record Events
With Bovitrak, managing information is simple and straightforward. When you input information such as tag numbers, you can easily pinpoint an individual animal in the inventory. Once retrieved, an individual animal's case file can be managed in detail by adding, removing or editing information. All significant events in the animal's life can be recorded including vaccinations, treatments, breeding – even feeding protocols.

Produce Reports
Bovitrak employs cutting-edge technology to provide you with reporting. You can, for example, generate detailed herd-evaluation reports such as Calving Summary by Dam's Age or Average Weaning Weights by Sire. Bovitrak is linked to core stock exchanges and up-to-date market prices to generate reports that help you forecast asset values and time to market.
